He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Curtis Lunsford Sr. and Mary Lou Lunsford; and his sisters, Carolyn Harvell and Linda Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Martha Jane Lunsford; his children, Kenneth Darrell Lunsford (Lisa) and Christine Renee Hatley (Jamie); and his siblings, Roger D. Lunsford, Janie L. Beck and Judy L. Thomas. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
