He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Salyer and Laura Jane Barnett; his wife Carol Barnett; his former wife Charlene Beam; his stepfather Alvin Robinson; his siblings, William D. Salyers, Calvin J. Robinson, Hoyie Robinson, Alvin Robinson, Jr. (Pete), Mikel H. Robinson, Hobert C. Robinson, Tim Robinson, Shirley Robinson, Marilyn Robinson (Tank), Velma D. Robinson, Molly Lou Robinson and Betty Trusty; and his great grandchildren, Evalynn, Emerie and Ella Bergstrom.
He is survived by: his sister Glenda F. Payett (Edwin); his children, Boyd C. Salyers (Ruth) of Dover, OH, Thomas G. Salyers (Connie) of Massillon, OH, Angela J. Eury of Albemarle, Karole K. Byerley of Albemarle, Nichole R. Gardner of Coshocton, OH and Sheila Chapman; his nephew Timothy C. Robinson of Wooster, OH.; and his grandchildren, Joshua Salyers, Loudon Salyers, Sarah Breinig (Nathan), Nicholas M. Eury, David A. Salyers (Stacy) of Albemarle, Daniel Aney (Jessica), Lauren Bergstrom (Jacob), Gray Moody, Jordan Gardner, Jaslyn Gardner, Matthew Chapman and Daniel Chapman.
Memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice of Stanly County, and any donations to the funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated by the family.
