With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernice Lyerly of Albemarle, North Carolina, who passed away on March 14, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Magdalene and Hugh Martin Thompson; her husbands, Jonah Poplin and George Lyerly; and her granddaughter Stacey Poplin.
She is survived by: her children, Debora Norris (Virrian) of Norwood, Kenneth Poplin (Sheila) of Norwood and Jay Poplin of Albemarle; her stepdaughter Robin Lyerly Belk (James) of Salisbury; her grandchildren, Tonya Crisco (Jeff), Laura Mabry (Dennis), Josh Poplin, Leah Norris, Landyn Poplin, Timothy, Justin and Tyler Belk; and her great grandchildren, Aliye, Jace Mabry, Caleb, Abagail Crisco, Daylan Coleman, Lil Josh Poplin, Kalista, Haleigh, Daniel Herbert, Addie Belk and Zane Yost.
