He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Christofferson and Marguerite Tyler; his wife Leslie Schulte of Glendive; his brothers, Darrell, Ronald and Larry; and his niece Tami Simon.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Christofferson and Sherie Caldwell (Scott) of Missoula; his brother Orval (Faye); his grandchildren, MacKenzie, Shay (Antonio), Abigail and Andrea (Ken); his great grandchildren, Kenslie, Timothy, Nathan, Kate and Kaelum; and also, Javier and Serephine. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
