It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maurice Shammel (Lewistown, Montana), who passed away on October 16, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Shammel and Elsie Shammel (Jenni); his wife Betty; his sister Marian; and his brothers-in-law, Dick Porter, Tom Moran and Bill Bakker.
He is survived by: his siblings, Helen Bakker of Billings, Jeanette Moran of Billings and Bob; his sister-in-law Wilma Shammel of Lewistown; his children, Linda Hagen (Jack) of Longview, Washington, Karen Flint (Bob) of Butte, Alan Shammel (Stephanie) of Hilger, Karl Shammel (Joyce) of Billings and Laurie Shammel (Doug Edgerton) of Bozeman; his grandchildren, Erin Baker (Jon), Heidi Fritz (Chris), Lance, Martin, Lyle Shammel (Mariah), Colter, Eliza, Benjamin, Cora and Kayla Kocher (Dayne); and his great grandchildren, Kayson, Kelsey Shammel (Jacob Pearson), Lindsey Flint (Andrew Weed), Emerson, Justin Flint (Kathryn), Joel Hagen (Kate), Izabelle, Madeline, Jeff Hagen (Tessa Wollum) and Seth Hagen (Cassie Dartt).
