He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Phillips Carpenter of Lewistown; his granddaughter Ashley Diteman of Helena, MT; and his siblings, Velma Vickers (Carpenter), Ray Carpenter, Ramona Shepherd (Carpenter), Vivian Benegar (Carpenter), Frank Carpenter, Shirley Colvin (Carpenter) and Gary Freeman.
He is survived by: his former husband Billy A. Monger; his sons, William (Maria Carpenter), Dustin (Beth Diteman), Bob (Kay Fox), Larry (Karen Phillips), Kevin (Jeanna Kucera), Brad (Lorrie Johnson) and Jeff (Margie Evans); his grandchildren, Gianni, Hayley Freeo (Johnson) of Bozeman, MT, Jenaye Phillips of Lewistown, MT, Joel of Lewistown, MT, Eryn Valach (Kucera) of Lewistown, MT, Katelyn Eldridge (Carpenter) of Ohio, Porter Diteman of Helena, MT, Nick of Helena, MT, Tiffany Fox of Helena, MT, Mike and Lisa Hahn (Fox) of Whitefish, MT; his great grandchildren, Maeve Freeo of Bozeman, MT, Joslyn, Gracie Eldridge of Ohio, Josh Hahn, Mackenzie, Peytan McMillan of Whitefish, MT, Hayden, Beckett and Charlie Fox of Helena, MT; his siblings, Irene Burke (Carpenter) of Alberta, Bob Carpenter (Gayee Marie Miller) of Helena, MT and Patricia Mitchell (Carpenter) of Bozeman, MT; and his sister-in-law Linda Petersen of Lewistown, MT. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
