He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Spalinger and Edna Spalinger; his wife Sheryl Spalinger of Helena; his children, Katie Madsen (Curtis) of Helena and Cory Spalinger (McKenzie) of Liberty Lake, Washington.; his grandchildren, Declan, Ellee and Rubee; his brother George Spalinger Jr. of Laurel; and his brothers-in-law, Doug Sexe (Sara) of Great Falls and Dennis Sexe (Dianne) of Great Falls. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or organization of donor's choice.
