He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Rivera and Marie Rivera (Palagi); his brother Dennis Rivera; his son-in-law Damon Heck; his former wife Debbie Rivera; and his parents-in-law, Gale, Ida Messman and Shirley Blalock.

He is survived by: his pet Lucky; his brother Denny; his significant other Denise Rivera (Messman); his daughter Amber Rivera Heck; his grandchildren, Kylor, Kason, Khloe and Koroa; his son Kelly Rivera (Victoria Torrez); his grandchildren, Caprianna, Carter and Cazdyn; his daughter Brittney (Justin); his grandchildren, Landon, Paydon and Madilyn; his daughter Tasha Hueth (Brandon); his grandchildren, Hinsley, Ryott, Dehlylah-Rae and Verity-Jean; his daughter Rachel Bateman (Kelvin); his grandchildren, Connor and Holden; his daughters, Rani Blalock and Shannon Quinn; his grandfather Jule Blalock; and also, Lucy and Linus. He is also survived by numerous sisters and brothers.
