It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nita Carr Bailey (Winona, Mississippi), born in Greenwood, Mississippi, who passed away on May 18, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lydia Mae Shurden Carr and Luther Howard Carr (L. H.); her husband Dr. Andrew M. Bailey, Jr. of Winona, MS; and her brother Billy Howard Carr. She is survived by: her children, Nellah Bailey McGough (Kevin) of Mountain Brook, AL and Andrew M. Bailey (Andy); her grandchildren, Matthew McGough, Patrick McGough, Destiny Bailey, Nellah Carr Bailey and Noni Bailey; and her siblings-in-law, Billie Hannah Carr Odom of Hernando, MS and Johnny M. Bailey of Germantown, TN.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, a host of dear cousins.
