He is survived by: his wife Lady Carroll Yates Howard of Winona; his children, Schelle Slater of Elmira Heights, NY, Bryan Howard of Dewittville, NY and Frederick "Derf" Howard II of Elmira Heights, NY; his siblings, Sharon Burpee of Watkins Glen, NY, Terry Howard of Winona and Robert Howard of Whitefish, MT; and his stepdaughters, Melissa Blaylock of Kilmichael and Tinkerbell Lindsey of Winona. He is also survived by grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
