He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Taylor, Sr. and Dollie Mae Hearn Taylor. He is survived by: his sisters, Loretta Taylor Thames and Becky Taylor Ellis (James A.); his nieces and nephews, Cyndi Preacher, Kristi Ellis Bordelon, Kevin Conrad (Sheila) and Kirk Conrad (Brenda); and his brother-in-law James.

Sister Becky brought him home from the nursing home and kept him for a year during Covid.
