We are sad to announce that on February 16, 2024, at the age of 87, Newman Eugene Russell (Vicksburg, Mississippi), born in Huntsville, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Newman Russell and Thelma Russell; and his siblings, Dennis Russell, Pat Dick and Ronnie Russell.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Russell; his children, Michelle Hopson (Jay), Steve Russell (Barbara), Mark Russell (Lisa), Rebecca Tatum (Alan), Cindy Lewis (Dennis), Donna Emerson (David) and Thomas Palmer (Pan); and his brother Jimmy Russell (Bev). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the American Cancer Society, http://www.cancer.org.
