She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewitt Barrett and Ellen McCluskey Barrett; her husband Herbert C. Stokes, Sr.; and her siblings, Paul Barrett, James Barrett, Jessie Barrett, Alvin Barrett, Charles Barrett, Doc Barrett, Retha Tanner, Lois Tanner and Bertha Crist.
She is survived by: her children, Herbert Carl Stokes, Jr. of Vicksburg, MS and Ellen Nolan (Tom) of Atlanta, GA; her sister Dorothy Eagle of Las Vegas, NV; her grandsons, Denton Stokes (Sarah), Andrew Nolan and Timothy Nolan; and her great grandchildren, Maddie Stokes and Wiley Stokes.
