He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn Cogan; his parents, Robert Wayne and Clara Bliss Cogan; his son Danny Allen Cogan (Carl Melvin Cogan); his siblings, Joyce Pellegrine and CJ Cogan; and his grandson Christopher Ryan Boykin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Joyce Dotson (Mark) and Sharon Durden (Larry); his grandsons, Tommy Boykin (Lauren) and David Allen Boykin; and his great grandchildren, Skylar Brown, Sunny Boykin, Illiana Ontiveros, Mariana Ontiveros and Adriana Ontiveros.
