He was predeceased by: his father John Scott; his son AJ Scott; and his siblings, Opal Self, Rose Moore, Helen Breedlove, Alma Rollins, Marion Hillman, Michael Scott and John Scott.
He is survived by: his wife Amye Glassl Scott of Vicksburg; his siblings, Anne Morgan of Bossier City, LA and William Scott (Judy) of Lake Chico, AR; and his close friend Irene Horton of Vicksburg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; and several great great nieces and great great nephews.
