She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James L. Waring and Ida Prewitt Waring; her husband Johnny Owen; her daughter Sarah Owen Wilbanks (Mark); her siblings, Larry Waring (Nancy), Tom Waring (Edie), Andy Waring (Kathy) and Betsy Harbaugh; and her grandchildren, John Harrison Wilbanks, Owen Wilbanks and Katherine Wilbanks. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorials may be made to the YMCA or the Church of the Holy Trinity.
