He is survived by: his wife Ethel "Lonnie" Goforth of Union; his children, Cheryl "Sherry" Burnside (Red Woodard) of Union and Johnny Goforth (Jeri James) of Union; and his grandchildren, Amanda Ray (Charles Nicklos) of Union, Paige Seward (Tyler) of Union, Zack Goforth (Krystle) of Philadelphia and Alex Goforth (Hannah) of Collinsville. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews.
