He is survived by: his wife Dolly Gainey; his children, Catina (Jackie McFee), Mandie Mendia and Danny Gainey (Ruth); his daughter-in-law Lisa Gainey; his grandchildren, David Gainey, Brianne Gainey, Jenna Gainey, Jordan Barber and Hailey McKinion; his great grandchildren, Kane Gainey and Little David Gainey; and his sister Nell (Buddy Spence).
