He is survived by: his wife Musa Sanderson; his children, James Sanderson, Jr., Michael Sanderson, Heath Sanderson and Tamera Casares; and his siblings, Willie Sanderson and Kathrean Hardaye. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren followed by 21 great grandchildren and a new addition, one great great granddaughter.
