He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Eugenia Roberson (Jeanie); his son James G. Roberson, Jr. (Jim); his granddaughter Leslie Nicole Roberson; and his parent Nathan Gilbert Roberson. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Gideon's International.
