With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dewey Rainey Jr. (Terry, Mississippi), born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, who passed away on February 8, 2020 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Hamilton Rainey and Dewey Rainey Sr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Betty Jean Graham of Hattiesburg, Ransom Rainey of Gulfport and John W. Rainey (Bill) of Boise; his wife Mary Geneva Furr Rainey; his children, Thomas Dwain Rainey (Helen) of Dallas, TX, Linda Kay Rainey Richardson (Bobby) of Brandon, MS and Peggy Lynn Rainey McDaniel (Shelton "Shot") of Terry, MS.; his sister-in-law Jody Ward; and his niece Deborah Ward.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Gideon's International, or to one's favorite charity.
