He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernestine Quick Smith and Earl Ray Smith; and his brother Tim Smith. He is survived by: his wife Connie Grantham Smith; his siblings, Vicky Freeman (Wendal), Tony Smith, Jimmy Grantham (Mickey) and Willie Grantham; his nephews, Jake Smith (Lissa), Jason Smith (Goldie), Walt Freeman (Anna), David Freeman (Lauren) and Daniel Gallagher (Paige); and his niece Cindy West (Jeff).
