He was predeceased by: his parents, Ada Taylor Jackson and Dunlap Jackson; his wife Mary Ruth Carlisle Jackson; and his siblings, Horace, Hoyte, Archie, Irving, Lynn Jackson, Janice Douglas, Mary J. Hooks and Christine J. Dean.

He is survived by: his son Mike Jackson (Rita) of Sardis, MS; and his grandchildren, Mike Ware and Natalie Ware.
