He is survived by: his wife Deborah Burks of Sardis, MS; his children, Sandra Streweler of Sardis, MS, Barry Burks, James Burks of Durant, MS and Charles "Peewee" Burks of Sardis, MS; and his siblings, Sheila Carlise of Sardis, MS, Roy Lee Burks, Sr. of Sardis, MS, Carl Stanley Burks, Sr. of Como, MS and Mark Burks of Horn Lake, MS. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
