He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Carnegie Davis and Mary Etta Hobson; his wife Clara Lee Shelby; and his siblings, Ruie Davis, Kenneth Davis and Bobbie Fay Bennett.
He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Wayne Davis (Debbie) of Gravestown, MS and Pam Bateman (Dale) of Gravestown, MS; his sister Mary Lou Bennett of Southaven, MS; and his grandchildren, Shelby Page of Gravestown, MS, Katie Davis of Gravestown, MS, Aimi Cooper (Bryan) of Blue Springs, MS and Matt Bateman (Melissa) of Ingomar, MS..
