He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dykes and Mellie Dykes; and his siblings, Bernice Faye Odom and Ulis George Dykes. He is survived by: his nephews, Jerry McLain, Doug Odom, Mike Odom, Jody Odom, Buddy Touchstone, Cary Dykes and Devin Dykes; his children, Sherry Jones and Russell Dykes (Adam) of Hattiesburg, MS; his sisters, Bertha Rae McLain of Richton and Laverne Touchstone of Richton; his grandchildren, Sarah Jackson (Michael) of Fairfax Station, VA and Jacob Reighter (Zova) of Montgomery, AL; and his great grandchildren, Weston Reighter, Selah Belle Jackson, Niah Rose Jackson, Leyton Jackson, Sophia Reighter (Hein) and Liam Reighter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He spent his last couple of years at Bedford Alzheimer's Care Center and was loved and cherished by all who met and cared for him.
