She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Norris and Cora Norris Gilbert (Fuller); her husband James Hubert Brownlee; her son Timothy Edward Akins; and her siblings, Eldridge Norris, John D. Norris, Delavan Norris and Opal N. Murphey.
She is survived by: her daughter Katherine Akins Weintz; her grandchildren, Norris Henry Weintz, Faye Margaret Paige (Christopher) and Anna Kate Lindsey (Lent); her great grandchildren, Faye Katherine Paige, Zane Lindsey and Kate Lindsey; and her nieces and nephews, Glenda Williams Huff, George C. "Buddy" Williams (Brenda), Phyllis Hollingshead, Patsy Tinsley, Peggy Donnell and Sandy Norris Helsel (Fred).
