He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lee Jones and Laura Bell Harvey Jones; and his son Vic. He is survived by: his wife Fay; his daughters, Angie Gainey (Randy) of Forest and Meg Eason (Ronald) of Laurel; his grandchildren, Kip Jones (Becky), Tiffany Jordan (Justin), Chelsea Hannah (Brandon), Karson Eason, Skylar Gainey, Kash Eason and Keeton Eason; his great grandchildren, Isabella, Piper Jones, Peyton, Jase Jordan and Cooper Hannah; and also Danny Dickerson.

The family suggest that memorials be made to Gideons International and St. Jude Children's Hospital.
