It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra K. Whittington McDonald (Philadelphia, Mississippi), who passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Doug Whittington and Mary Whittington; and her sister Edith Rees. She is survived by: her husband Scotty McDonald of Carthage, MS; her daughter Stacie Strickland (Chris) of Carthage, MS; her grandchildren, Celsea Ivy (Taylor), Chloe Strickland, Christopher Strickland Jr. (Kristin), Logan Massey, Dylan Massey and Peyton Strickland; her great grandchild Porter Ray Ivy; and her siblings, Jayne Mayo (Jerry), Pat Shelton, Doug Whittington Jr. and Steve Whittington (Brenda). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McClain-Hays Funeral Service (1002 E Main St, Philadelphia, MS 39350). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Laurel Hill Baptist Church (10440 MS-427, Philadelphia, MS 39350).
