He was predeceased by: his parents, David Mitcham and Willie Mitcham of Pelahatchie; his children, Amy Morris and Chris Mitcham; and his brother Bob Mitcham.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his son Michael Mitcham (Ruth) of Greenbrier, TN; and his grandchildren, Timothy, Matthew Mitcham, Tymber and Tristen Morris. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
