She was predeceased by: her husband Lamar Spears; her sons, Wayne Spears and William Spears; her parents, Dessie McCown and William Edward McCown; and her sister Hilda Wyvonne Franklin.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Charlie Spears (Kathy) of Forest, Ann Fortenberry (Yates) of Forest and Carol Fortenberry (Stanley) of Forest; her great grandchildren, Cece Hillhouse, Megan Hillhouse, Eric Spears, Jeremy Spears and Ashley Spears; her great great grandchild Noah Casey Hillhouse; her brother Delbert Glynn McCown (Gloria) of Jupiter, FL; and her daughter-in-law Clarie Spears Hillhouse of Leaksville.
