She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas C. Jones; her daughter Pamela Mills (Bill); her parents, Victor Pirtle and Louise Pirtle; her sister Maxine Cox; and the father of her children Walter Houston Cox, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Sims (Clarence) of Longwood, FL, Melissa Stacks of Oxford, MS, Venessa Voyles (Bryan) of Alamo, TN and Victor Cox of Pensacola, FL; and her grandchildren, Sarah Russell of Oxford, Christa Sanders of Alamo, Kayla Singletary of Alamo, Tara Eckmann of Tryon, NC, Kevin Sims of Longwood, Keith Sims of Longwood and Theron Stacks of Oxford. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Donations and memorials in honor of Mrs. Virginia P. Jones may be made to the donor's choice of any animal rescue society to carry on her love for helping animals in need.
