He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Jones and Lily Jones; his son Rickey Jones; and his brothers, Diaz Jones and Galloway Jones.

He is survived by: his wife Sammie Jones of Oxford, MS; his son Barry Jones (Christy) of Tupelo, MS; his grandchildren, Carrie Nolen (Clay), Taylor Jones (Fair), Charles Jones (Mary Katherine), Michael Jones (Jill), William Jones and Sam Jones (Sami); and his great grandchildren, Parker Nolen, Cooper Nolen, Briley Nolen, Kylie Nolen, Leo Jones, Lily Jones and Stella Jones.
