He was predeceased by: his sons, Brent Cain and Scotty Tallant; his parents, Julian Cain and Ethel Cain; his stepmother Dara Mae Cain; and his siblings, Mildred Knight, Ruth Sharrer, Catherine Hudson and Archie Cain.

He is survived by: his wife Norma Lynn Cain of Oxford; and his grandchildren, Zoe Cain of Dallas, TX and Zach Cain of New Jersey.
