She was predeceased by: her husband Delbert; her parents, Edmond Townsend and Nettie Townsend; her brothers, George, Floyd and Fred Townsend; her sister-in-law Mabel Townsend; and her half-brothers, James Corrothers and George Fuller.
She is survived by: her sons, Douglas Townsend (Bernice) of Kenosha and Darryl Ford (Delores) of Atlanta; her stepson James Ford (Debbie) of Naperville, Illinois; her daughter-in-law Linda Carroll of Wichita, Kansas; her goddaughter Tonya Neal of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; her grandchildren, Mary, Angela, Jewel, Kelli, Melanie, Kirsten, Chrystal, Michelle, Latonya, Ravayia, Myles, Geoffrey, Michael Jr. and Michael (Harii); her great grandchildren, Aniya, Amari, Aryah, Sontie, Andrea, Dissera, Jyon, Pierre, Zachary and Princeston; her great great grandchild Bella; her sister Mary Townsend; and her sister-in-law Shirley Corrothers. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
