We are sad to announce that on January 31, 2021, at the age of 84, John Walter Nance in Oxford, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nance and Mary Nance; and his sister Joan Nance Patton. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Patton Nance of Oxford, Mississippi.; his sons, John Nance (Carol) of Saltillo, Will Nance (Penny) of Alexandria and Hopson Nance (Ashley) of Auburn, Alabama.; his grandchildren, Julie Bratcher (Tom), Margaret McCollough (Jacob), Hopson Nance, Jack Nance (Merilese), Harry Nance, Claire Nance, Garner Nance, Elizabeth Nance, Briscoe Nance, Henry Nance, Hayes Nance and Walker Havelin; his great grandchildren, Kelso Bratcher, Mac McCollough, Judah McCollough and Harper Bratcher; and his sister Cathy Halford.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Presbyterian Church of Oxford, First United Methodist Church of Clarksdale, or The Pantry of Oxford and Lafayette County.
