With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jesse Daniels Danford III (Oxford, Mississippi), who passed away on October 4, 2022 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Jesse Danford. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Lee Danford of Oxford, MS; his son Michael Jay Danford (Elizabeth) of Oxford, MS; his sister Peggy Ottaway (Sonny) of Chesapeake, VA; and his grandchildren, Nichole Jordan (Tyler), Courtney Gardner (Shaun) and Jordan Danford. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.

I always enjoyed visiting with him at car shows, dinners, cookouts and especially when we had a chance to travel. Jesse was not only friendly, but he had that sense of humor about him at all times that made everyone feel comfortable and happy to be around him.
