He is survived by: his wife Patsy Claspell of Randolph, MS; his daughter Jenna Taglerferia (Frank) of Boston, MA; and his stepchildren, Jamie Rose (Allen) of Courtland, MS, Donna McClane (Joey) of Ripley, MS, Gary Rasnick (Angela) of Batesville, MS, Jered Rasnick of Randolph and Charlie Rowzee (Jennifer) of Pontotoc, MS. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

“7.17.23 Just found out Jim passed away. We were coworkers at Orange County Veterans Service in Orlando, FL., in the early 90's. Jim was my supervisor and helped me to go from office receptionist to VA Counselor. I will never forget his kindness and patience in teaching me everything I needed to know.
