He was predeceased by: his parents, James Russell and Ethel Mae Kisner (Black); and his brother Larry Russell Kisner. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Betty" Kisner of Oxford, MS; his children, Deneise Speakman (Jim), James Kisner, Jr. and Michelle Warren (Lynn); his grandchildren, Justin Reid, Beth Brown, Christy Kisner, Blake Rusch, Will Warren and Molly Warren; and his sister Mae Nell Clayton (Loyd). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
The family has asked that instead of flowers a donation to the Browning Cemetery fund would be greatly appreciated.
