It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elma Kate Edmondson Havens (Oxford, Mississippi), born in Vardaman, Mississippi, who passed away on July 7, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Moore and Thelma Faulkner Edmondson; her husband Louis R. Havens; her son Mark Havens; and her siblings, Margaret Sprouse of Atlanta, GA, Peggy Wicker of Tupelo, MS, J. W. Edmondson and James Thomas "Jamie" Edmondson.
She is survived by: her daughter Denise Havens Harris (Jerry) of Oxford, MS; her siblings, Elizabeth Gilder of Starkville, MS, Dot Wiggs of West Point, MS and Martin M. Edmondson (Carter K. Edmondson) of Vardaman, MS; her grandchildren, Sarah Katherine Havens, Jordan Elizabeth Havens, Haven Elisabeth Garrett (Henry) and Taylor McKinley Harris; and her great grandchild Jay Havens.
