It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Callie Jane Brannon of Oxford, Mississippi, born in Abbeville, Mississippi, who passed away on January 22, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Benjamin "Buster" Couch; her son Kenneth "Kenny" Brannon; and her siblings, Lena Mae Couch, Etta Crawley, Rossie Lee Harden, Jennie Conaley, Artie Hunt, Mattie Bell Thompson and John Richard Couch.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Brannon of Abbeville, MS, Joanne Brannon of Abbeville, MS, Jerelene Coleman of Abbeville, MS, Brenda Brannon of Nashville, TN, Andrew Malone, Robert Brannon of Oxford, MS and Richard Brannon (Gloria) of Taylor, MS; and her nieces, Mary Lee of Grand Rapids, MI, Arnita of Grand Rapids, MI and Deborah of Grand Rapids, MI. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; a host of great-great grandchildren.
