He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Phariss and Ruby O'Neal Phariss. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Ann Phariss; his sons, Lamar Phariss (Jacob Brasher) and Dale Phariss (Laura); his grandchildren, Shane Phariss, Dawn Phariss and Colton Phariss; and his brother David Jr. Payne. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
