She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Benson Darnell, Sr.; her parents, Haywood Stafford and Velma Stafford (Claunch); and her brothers, Arthur Sidney Stafford, William "Bill" Morton Stafford and Malcom "Gene" Stafford.
She is survived by: her children, Becky Caudle (Don) and Ben Darnell (Shawn); her grandchildren, Machelle Williams (Ernie), Melanie Robertson (Scott), Taylor Lewis (Matthew) and Boyd Darnell; her great grandchildren, Mary Shields Hunter (Sam), Max Williams, Brooks Williams, Avery Robertson and Olivia Williams; her great great grandchild Anne Stribling Hunter; and her sister Shirley Wade (Julian).
