It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ed ward Williams of Olive Branch, Mississippi, who passed away on November 17, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Senator George Edward and Maggie Dunn Doddridge Williams; his wife Marjorie Sowell Williams; and his siblings, Margaret McIntosh, Lee Williams, Joe Williams, Steve Williams and Dot Munn.
He is survived by: his sons, Bill Williams (Connie) of Olive Branch and Paul Williams (Susan) of Olive Branch; his grandchildren, Nancy Zeidman (Troy) of Nashville, TN, J. Eric Williams (Lindsey) of Olive Branch, John David Williams (Mary Margaret) of Olive Branch and Benjamin E. Williams of Fort Bragg, NC; and his siblings, Bobby Williams of Olive Branch and Patricia Nichols of Olive Branch. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of William Edward Williams can be made to The Marjorie Sowell Williams Endowed Scholarship in care of Northwest Mississippi Community College Foundation (P.O. Box 7015 Senatobia, MS 38668).
