He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Manuel and Della Manuel; his wife Betty Manuel; his daughter Regina Manuel; and his siblings, Thessie Gray, Bud Manuel, Lottie Valance, Bob Manuel and James Andrews.

He is survived by: his daughter Brittany Gates (Kevin); his sister Beatrice Champion; his great grandchildren, Makenley Manuel and Keaton Gates; and his nephews, Gary, Robert and Randy. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, four step-daughters, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
