It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Ellsworth Lidgard Sr. of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, who passed away on September 20, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellsworth Lidgard and Stella Lidgard; his daughter Patsy Lidgard (Capps); his siblings, Paul David Lidgard, Mary Anne Knight and Virginia "Ginny" Lidgard; and his brother-in-law Russell Clapp.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Lidgard (Breazeale); his sisters, Shirley Daggett (Jerry), Marie Prince (Glen) and Carolyn Kassing (Bob); his brother-in-law Clark Knight; his son David Andrew Lidgard (Sherry) of Ocean Springs; his grandsons, Sergeant Matthew Francis (Lauren), Samuel Lidgard and Sergeant Russell Lidgard (Emily); his son Richard Ellsworth Lidgard, Jr. (Sheryl) of Naples, FL; his grandsons, Brian Lidgard (Mandy) and James Lidgard; his stepchildren, Ralph Hunter, Russell Hunter and Rebecca Hunter; his stepgrandchildren, Joshua Hunter, Nicole Hunter and Wyatt Hunter; and his great grandchildren, Laina, James Jr., Tess, Brock, Dallas, Cole and Jase.
