He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John L. Martin and Clara Mae Russell; his wife Gale Martin; his children, Cheryl McCauley (Michael), Angela Ashcraft, William Taylor (Shaune) and James W. Martin (Kim); and his siblings, Jaye Lene Beason (Archie) and John Martin Jr. (Diane). He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
