James Dwight Rivers Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Dwight Rivers of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, who passed away on November 1, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his significant other Shirley Broome Rivers; and his parents, Clinton Rivers and Necia Rivers. He is survived by: his cousin Billy Tidwell; his friend Jackson; his children, Debbie Mohler (Mark), Brenda Allen (Tom) and Charles Rivers (Traci); his grandchildren, Mark Mohler, Jr., Aaron Mohler (Christina), Brandon Mohler, Zach Allen (Lexi), Meagan Allen, Ryson Rivers and Sheldon Rivers; his great grandchildren, Alexa Mohler, Brody Mohler and Jax Mohler; and his brother Joe Rivers (Carolyn). He is also survived by numerous cousins, in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
