It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mattie Claire McMillan of Newton, Mississippi, born in Pachuta, Mississippi, who passed away on November 4, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John W. McMillan; her parents, Peter Coleman Campbell and Janie Bass Campbell; and her son-in-law Ben Blasingame. She is survived by: her children, Will McMillan (Jan) of Newton, MS, Janie Blasingame of Thomson, GA, Arthur McMillan (Alisia) of Enterprise, MS and Claire Curtis (Steve) of Bossier City, LA. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to First Baptist Church Newton.
