He is survived by: his children, Bob (Jeanne), Bonnie Coleman (Vincent), Beverly Block (Bruce), Bill May (Brett) and Brookes Eiler (Jim); his grandchildren, Candi May Mangelsdorf (Tom), Brian May, Brookes May (Jake), Tucker May, Mandy Rushing Harris, Ken Richardson, Austin Richardson, Mallory May Davis (Reid), AnnaLeigh May Minor (Henry), Natalie May (Ryan), David Eiler (Melissa), Erin Eiler (Ben), Paul Eiler (Kelsie) and John Patrick Eiler; his great grandchildren, Chloie Mangelsdorf, Meghan Mangelsdorf, William Mangelsdorf, Chase Harris, Ann Revere Davis, William Davis, Simmons Davis, Weston Minor, Lewis Minor, Sally Minor, Aria Bartlett and A. J. Eiler; and his pet Vaught.
Due to health regulations during COVID 19, private funeral services for Dr. Horace L. May were held on Wednesday, December 30th, 2020 at 2PM at The Mississippi Veterans Cemetery in Newton with Newton County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family requests that, instead of flowers, please consider donations to the First Baptist Church of Newton or The Newton Chamber of Commerce, both favorite causes of Dr. May throughout his long lifetime.
